Season is an inspiration and recipe database full of fruit and vegetables. Season has one overriding purpose: to get Danes to eat more fruit and vegetables. The site is owned by the interest organization Dansk Gartneri, which collaborates with partners in the horticulture industry in various business policy contexts.
In the work of developing Sæson.dk, our primary task was to increase the traffic figures. So we had to develop a high-traffic solution that would draw people into the recipe universe and show them all the inspiration on the page. Season has a huge database of recipes, and an important part of the task was to get them presented to visitors so that they come again to find more recipes. There was a clear wish from Sæson that the site should be nicely designed and speak into a modern organization with a green heart.

The recipe database itself is a crucial feature for Sæson.dk. As we developed the search function, we also optimized the technical SEO, to make it easier for visitors to find Sæson.dk via Google. We designed the search feature with a central bar for keywords. On the front page, in addition to searching with words, you can filter your search so that you find exactly the recipe you are looking for.
